Moving Day
The following photographs and captions appeared on the front paper on the Upper Main Line News on Friday, February 14, 1958. Photos by Marge Worth.
It was moving day for 275 pupils from Paoli and Strafford Elementary Schools on Friday, February 7. The children packed their books and bid their classmates goodbye. They were transported to the New Valley Forge School to visit their classrooms and meet their new teachers.
 Left to right at Paoli are: Clark Moore, Devon Wilson, Barbara Baker, Carter Jones ad Tommy Phillips just about ready to leave.
 Tracy Cameron has her large bag packed.
 Miss Patricia Sobeck, teacher, and her entire first grade moved to Valley Forge.
 Twenty minutes after the youngsters boarded the bus they were greeted by John V. Reilly, former 6th grade teacher at Paoli School now Principal of Valley Forge. School officially started on Monday. |
