Tax Preparation  Assistance for Senior Citizens

Eligible Pennsylvanians age 65 and older; widows and widowers age 50 and older; and people with disabilities age 18 and older may take advantage of the Pennsylvania State Property Tax/Rent Rebate program. Click on the link to the right for more information on the program.

To obtain assistance with completing the Property Tax/Rent Rebate form or federal and state tax returns:

AARP offers a free Tax Preparation Program at various local sites. The following sites take appointments from February 1-April 15. Please contact the sites directly to set up an appointment.

Bill Angus, AARP Tax Aide Program District Coordinator for Chester County, at (610) 399-0515. He will try to arrange for an AARP tax counselor to meet you at one of the designated AARP sites above.
  • Betsy Wright at the Wayne Senior Center at (610) 688-6246. Betsy is not affiliated with the AARP Tax Aide Program, however she provides property tax/rent rebate form assistance by appointment throughout the year.
